Roland PSB-1U 9v Pwer supply

Post by Sarm »

Hi. New here. I wasn't told that I'd need to power my Duo EX for iPad use when i bought the duo at the weekend. Can I get a power supply from Maplin that is safe and won't hum?
The originals' specs are:
Input Voltage Range 100-240V/50-60Hz
Output Amps 2 Amps max
Output Voltage 9V
Sleeve/Tip Configuration Sleeve: Positive, Tip: Negative
Thanks in anticipation!

That ^ should work fine. It is rather expensive compared to those on the web but one problem is the size of the power plug, at least at Maps you can try before you buy.

I would add that since the Roland can be bus powered that 2amp rating seems well OTT?

From a USB port the AI cannot draw more than 2.5watts whereas that supply would put out a potential 18W!
