Attention all Zoom F8 and F4 owners!
This https://www.zoom.co.jp/products/field-recording/frc-8-f-series-remote-controller is due in the UK in January... price yet TBC.
Price will be crucial, but it could make static work a lot more easy/intuitive.... (for me anyway!)

Re: Zoom FRC-8
It was inevitable they'd do something like that. Most of its (more expensive) rivals have a fader control panel option, and it really is an essential facility for most trolley-based film/tv production work -- as well as making life much easier for music recording too.
As you say, price will be key... But it's bound to be attractive given the price of the F8/F4.
Wish Nagra offered something similar for the Nagra VI. Making do with a Behringer MIDI fader panel is not acceptable!

Looks very useful.
I take it you can use the faders to adjust the monitor mix as well as mix what's recorded on playback?

Oh dear, I haven't felt this much gear lust since the Slate Raven. Wish they did one for the DR680.
