Recommendations for someone to service Neve mic preamps.

Post by peredur »

A long time ago my brother (who is a qualified tech) ran into some old Neve equipment. I honestly do not know what it was. He took the preamps out and rackmounted them and they worked fine and dandy. He then moved on from engineering and left them in his garage. This was a LONG time ago (15 or 20 years). I am looking for a recommendation for someone who knows what they are doing to service them. Sadly my local TV repairman is not up to the job. My brother does not have the time or kit to sort them out himself any more, but it would be a shame to just let them die.

Thanks in advance.

Blake Devitt is the guy for that sort of stuff. You would require a degree of patience as he gets busy and can be...a character in a good way. Funky Junk are certainly the other obvious one - they will be very professional but it won't be cheap.
