Generic USB footswitch

Post by BJG145 »

I just dug out a cheap generic USB footswitch:

It installed some drivers, but I don't have any other software for it. I seem to remember plugging it directly into the PC for use as a MIDI sustain pedal years ago, but I can't remember how, and I can't seem to find anything in Google. Any ideas...? (Think they're more commonly used as game accessories than music accessories.)

*edit*

Hmm, it's coming back to me now; think it involved setting up the pedal to activate a keyboard shortcut, then using some other program to convert it to MIDI...probably need to track down the software shown on this Amazon pic.

Hi BJG145, I have a copy of what you need (though for £7 on eBay you could buy another pedal with the software and have two).
I would be happy to email it you, as it's quite a small program.
Don't know how you do that via this forum.
Feel free to get back.
