Favourite Plug Ins..

and why....

Like previously posted I really like the Vintage Warmer for its ability to make everything sound 'analogue' but I also really like Maxx Bass by Waves.. a great and unique plug in that adds harmonic content to your low end.

Currently my favourite plug ins are "Vibe EQ" and "Major Tom Compressor" from Stillwell Audio. They single handedly gave me the sound I was searching for on a track I was struggling with.

Although, my favourite plug in changes from week to week depending on what I'm doing!

My favourite is the BiFilter 2 from Tone2, I use it on every electronica track, drawing in the automation to get exceptional filter effects.

+1 for Vibe EQ - this is my favorite EQ at the moment. Bad Bus Mojo from the same company is also very good. these are both good for colouring the sound in a nice way.

I really like mda-DubDelay, thats been a long time fav of mine for delays. (I like dub).. I like the feedback/saturation effect it produces.

I really love the Roland RE-201 Space Echo plugin and the Plate 140 on the UAD card.... instant dub..

The Chorus-Delay plug that comes with the Powercore is also another fav for delays. this is really good at creating modulating delays and i really like the sound.

Me too -- Vibe EQ is a great plug-in, and I also like their 1973 and Transient Monster.

If I had to judge from the frequency with which I use the plug-ins, then my favourites would have to be: Voxengo's MSED; Mda's Limiter, Combo, and Leslie; Christian Knufinke's SIR and SIR2; Digital Fishphones Blockfish and Spitfish; Silverspike's Room Machine 844 and Ruby Tube; Schwa's Schope; Roger Nichols Inspector; GVST's GClip; Buzzroom's Grancomp, Grancomp3, and BuzMaxi3; Antress VRME; Celemony Melodyne. I've also just bought URS Console Strip Pro, so I'm using that a lot at the moment too, but that's not quite as free as most of the other plug-ins I've mentioned!

Hmmm. I've not got around to checking that out -- must do!

My favourite is the 'external' plug-in in Cubase 4, as you can get a great analogue sound with it ;)

I downloaded a plugin called Minimogue (can you tell what it is yet?) the other day that I think is going to get quite a bit of use. And it was free!

Ozone3 is a great multi purpose plug-in. I also love Voxengo's vari-saturator. you can use it to simulate tape sturation right through to a distortion unit.
