Can anyone suggest a material that lets sound through, but looks good.

This is for our new post-prod and viewing room. The bass traps and speakers will be hidden in the same box-like structure that has to look sharp and clean and not 'bolted-on' and I cannot find a material that can be coloured or bought in a precise colour (light grey) and matches the rest of the room for feel and texture.

Any ideas?

Cara is available in a lot of colours and stretches nicely?

Camira Cara is the obvious material to look at first although I've never done any tests to see how acoustically transparent it actually is.

+1 for Cara, looks great, easy to work with and not ridiculously expensive. Very good for covering acoustic treatment but your speakers will almost certainly have been designed to have no fabric in front of them so even proper 'speaker cloth' might reduce the HF slightly from where the designer intended.
