Moog DFAM Knob Upgrade

Post by Durr GaGa »

As noted by Paul Nagle in his June 2018 review of the Moog DFAM, 'its 16 knobless stalks rate as poor in comparison to the other controls'. This is a fair comment but also misses a secondary point - proper knobs just look soooo cool :D

I have made an upgrade to the knobs on my own DFAM and am delighted with the results but it would have been a fiddly job to get all the pointers and the spacing from the DFAM faceplate the same for each knob if I hadn't planned the process carefully in advance. The attached PDF may be of assistance to anyone else carrying out this upgrade.

Bravo Steve - not only does this upgrade look the business, but your explanation of how to do it is spot on!

Thank you, Hugh and Martin - it certainly made the job easier for me and I knew that it would grate on my nerves if the pointers had all been at different angles and heights! :D
