Building a big modular synthesizer. My Diary – part 1: From clumsy to skilled / from soldering simple cables and plugs to building a wall of synth modules / a daring challenge / a tough mission or a desperate attempt? / I´ve set out for a destination far, far away! And this is my diary. Watch part 1: The Beginning https://youtu.be/f_gAkRFvS5E
Building a big modular synthesizer. My Diary – part 2: The first kit has arrived. Just for doing some exercises. Now I´ll find out if my soldering skills are sufficient to start building a modular synth. But let´s have a look what´s in this little kit at first. https://youtu.be/q1X6i6w-ib0

I would suggest you get a pair of much smaller wire cutters. Preferably with one side almost completely flat for close trimming.
Also, it's generally a good idea to fit and solder small groups of components, rather than all at once. You should start with the smallest and most robust ones.
Hello Folderol!
And thank you for commenting! Yes, the wire cutter is not the best one for this purpose. I´ve got me another one in the meantime. Strange enough, I found it at a garage sale, where a nice lady sold cosmetics! It´s a nail cutter (foot nails)! And it works perfectly.
My adventure is continuing. Here is the documentation:

Hmmm. You seem to have used green/Yellow wire for all the connections. This is a definite NO. That cable should only ever be used for earth/ground wiring.

This ^^^
NEVER USE GREEN/YELLOW WIRE FOR LIVE OR NEUTRAL CONNECTIONS!

Success at last! The clock divider works. And I´ve made a clock generator too – on the way. https://youtu.be/QunRDNjoHvc

Finishing the clock generator - a quite flexible one by the way - and solving some mechanical problems. I love goofing round with my new module! Enjoy your day! Rolf https://youtu.be/G5C07p0n9gk
