Audio Unit loudness metter (to use with Cubasis)

Post by ore_terra »

Hi

I like using cubasis every now and then (more since recent fabfilter stuff), but I still miss a loudness meter (or something that just tells me Master’s RMS and peak dBFS)

I did a few google search, but I could not find anything :headbang:

I found lots of them. Some for ipad. some standalone.
none for cubasis though.

record below clipping and adjust loudness later with a stand alone program.

google for LUFS meter

The documents show it is a VU meter not a loudness meter using the LUFS standard.

And it does not seem to work with cubasis.

It says it’s a loudness meter here

And it does not seem to work with cubasis.

I don’t know enough about Cubasis to help you here.

Does the Melda free package work on Cubasis? There's a selection of useful meters in there, including a loudness meter.

How about this? It's more expensive though.

There's an explanatory video here

The system requirements seem pretty reasonable, I can't see why it or my previous suggestion shouldn't work with Cubasis.

Ah, sorry, ignore the Melda comment, looks like that Windows and Mac OS only.
