Function Junction remote

Does anybody know anything about these?
There's a connector for a 'remote' on the front of the FJ Plus, I'd love to have one but there's no information about them. They seem like quite a rarity.

I have a Function Junction 'Plus' but no, I've never seen the remote for it (or any further info on what you can do with that port)

I never heard of anything for that port. I suspect the FJ/FJ+ weren't successful enough to follow up.
