OK, so it would seem this is a MIDI driven sequence but I rather like what they did with it.

A good use of modular for 'proper' music as opposed to random bleeps and whirbles. It has appropriate bleeps and whirbles in it and really works I think.

Beautifully realised, although I was expecting a more 'radical' and electronic approach when using a modular. Some casual listeners might think this is played on a harp!

When the subtle shimmering delays came in I was hooked though!

I suggest listening to any of Isao Tomita's classical music renditions. I'm pretty sure he used a modular synth, and without MIDI.

I know exactly what you mean though, after probably listening to many hours of modular bleeps and glitch-laden riffs from modular land on YouTube

Some modular users seem to think that playing a recognisable tune (or heaven forbid, using MIDI to enter note data) is verboten

I love modular Martin, I think you know that.
I've been through it and it's a strange world, very little in the "new wave" of modular that's turned me on. I've ended up with my Easel, which will come with me to my grave.
In the last few years I think only a few videos of synths have really moved me, and these are two of them, not entirely modular though...

Of the three links you posted, this one from JadeRose is by far my personal favourite - SO musical, and such sensitive playing

Yes, it's all good, I like the library modular, lots of subtle but effective stuff going on.
So often you get the impression that a lot of modular music could more easily and effectively be done on something else, just as well, if not better, but she really does do things with her equiopmet, and modular stuff, that are very unique "to it" and couldn't easily be done on anything else, she doesn't try and copy, or work in stereotypical ways.
Shame she isn't on the same continent as us, I'd like to see her perform.

Me too, although her YouTube videos are very educational, giving you a fair idea of what techniques are involved.

Yes, if I'm ever in that neck of the woods (which will probably be never) I'll check her out if she's playing.
