Digital and Analogue Synths: an Age difference

Post by OneDayIllBeLessBroke »

Hello everyone,

The digital revolution has rinsed us through, yet the age of analogue synthesis has returned!

I'm conducting a very brief survey (no more than three minutes) to find potential correlations between age and interest in synthesisers. This is a part of my final-year research project as well as a long-term project involving DIY synthesisers. Any and all information regarding your answers is confidential.

Your participation is thoroughly appreciated. Comments and questions about the project or the survey are more than welcome. This is still a place for discussion and I would love to hear what you all think. :)

Took me less than a minute - very simple and clear.
I did wonder whether you might need more space for the comments on types of synth preference - I managed, but I’m not too verbose!

You can just keep typing away. You don't have to keep to just the box length.

'Are you interested in synthesisers?' Sourced from a 'Keyboards & Synthesis' forum!? I can't help but feel your survey is going to be somewhat skewed!

Nice little survey, I just took it.

I prefer analog for analog characteristics, digital for digital characteristics, so the question could be changed around to offering a multiple selection eg:

Which kind of synthesizers do you like? (You can tick more than one).
- Analog (checkbox)
- Digital (checkbox)
- Software (checkbox)

Also, what if I only use 1 dig synth now, but in the past used loads of analog?

Which kind synths did you use in the past?
- Analog (checkbox)
- Digital (checkbox)
- Software (checkbox)

The survey has been closed and I'm currently analysing the data and writing up the report. Thank-you for you participation, I'll be posting the results soon. :)
