Portable music making - advice sought

Post by gmtfd »

Hi all

I'm looking for a portable music making solution which...

1) is not a laptop
2) can be powered by batteries
3) features a piano-roll style graphic display

Does anyone know if such a thing exists? I tried a Yamaha QY70 which I didn't get on with due to its event list-based editing ... made me feel like I was programming a ZX81!

Cheers in advance for all suggestions

It's not yet available outside Japan, i read it will be shipping this October.
After seeing this DV review, i'm even more impressed. 'Holy dooley! ' as Rolf Harris might say.
