Great stuff!

On a DVD somewhere I have a special they did on the state of music tech at the time. They looked at the Fairlight, Prophet 5 and I think Francis Monkman and Martin Rushent are there somewhere.

Must dig it out...

Yep, that's it. I have the whole program - I recall watching it as I transferred it from tape to DVD a few years ago. There's a lovely bit where Martin Rushent is explaining the wonders of the Fairlight at which point it crashes - priceless!

There are a lot of Blue Peter fans frowning right now...

Magpie, indeed! :D

But there was a certain Jenny Handley. Mmm...

On a slightly different note. I have a VERY old copy of a Blue Peter show on disk where the Mellotron is given a workout providing sound effects.

Jenny Handley, that's the one I meant! No wonder Ms Judd didn't look as good as I remembered cuase it wasnt her I was thinking of! :headbang:

thanks for putting me straight Elf.

I definitely wouldn't confuse a Mellotron and a ZX Spectrum though

Jenny was worth running home from school to watch, but let's not forget Magpie's Susan Stranks (the dark-haired one).

I always thought Mick Robertson looked so much like Queen's Brian May back in the Seventies.
