Equipment ID help!

does anyone know what the 1U rack unit is with the row of white buttons sitting inbetween the AKAI Sampler, the alesis quadraverb and the kenton box. Photo is from 1993.

I think it's a SMPTE to MIDI generator made by XRI.
I got everything else right!

Yes, one of those bits of kit that’s flash but boring, you’ve got to have it, but resent spending the money on it because it doesn’t make any nice noises.
I notice that Seck mixer in the picture too, or "white noise generators" as we used to call them.
