Maybe of interest to those that missed out on the initial launch, I see there's a little-used 2600 on offer in the Readers Ads...

Zero interest in the ARP but I like the humor in the ad :)

EDIT: I've just looked at the "microphones" section and there's no humor at all :bouncy:

It's bonkers! Not had the time with it to get into the Arp way of doing things! Coming from Roland and Moog is a bit of a learning curve and not had the time and therefore not fallen in love with it yet. Moving house so might be a good time to get some funds for a new kitchen!

I understand, for me though it’s something that just seems to make the sounds I like at the drop of a hat, and it’s like I designed it myself, it has all the things I think a synth should have, maybe we could do a swap, I have a nice kitchen looking for a good home, but my partner doesn’t know that yet...

Seriously though, it is immensely powerful and I've made some amazing sounds on it but they were mostly by accident! Unlike the synths I'm used to working on I'm still not quite sure how I got there with the Arp. It's a question of time, experience and perserverance but not sure I can invest the effort!

Have you tried messing about with feedback? a few stackables and you’re away.
Most of my favourite sounds were made using this many years ago, depends what your into, but you can get some lovely drones this way, taking the output back into the filter, or the oscillators, or anything!
You have to be a bit careful though, keeping levels down.

Yes, it needs a whole lot of time to get into and get the best out of. To put it into perspective though, my friend paid 8k a couple of years ago for his original grey-face one.

I feel the opposite, it’s a very intuitive machine to me, I’d really like one, above all else, but I’m not prepared to pay that type of money.
