Hello!
Join me as I haphazardly plow my way through making a track with the excellent inSIDeous Reaktor instrument. InSIDeous is based on the SID chip which was housed in the Commodore 64 and has been put to amazing use here as a full on VST instrument.

It's a superb VST which you'll see has loads of souunds that sit in the mix well.
Whether I make good use of them or not is up to you!
Enjoy?

Re: Trackbuilding with InSIDeous - C64 SID Chip Reaktor Instrument
Reminds me of all those incredible scrolling demo programs for my C64 (which I still have here!).
I made a cable to get the SID sounds out of my C64 waaaaay back when I needed as many sound sources as I could lay my hands on - it worked, but it was always woefully noisy.
Thanks for the memories.

Hi again midierror!
Once again, a fascinating video - I've got InSIDious myself, and given the number of SID chip tracks I created in my game music-making days, it does sound very faithful to the original with all its quirks.
I really must get around to creating something with it, although the thrill of forcing something wonderful out of a limited 3-channel 8-bit soundchip can't be quite the same as downgrading the capabilities of a modern computer to mimic it
