Yeah, such a pity. When I don't DIY, I buy absorbent panels from GIK UK.. I just need a couple of square ones, but as things are I don't dare - no idea when they'll come.

Yeah, I wouldn't buy anything across the UK/EU border (either way) that you're not prepared to wait at least a month for (and possibly pay 20% more than you were expecting for).

Why not buy from GIK EU? They are based in Poland.

It could be worse, you could own a boat bought in the UK, sailed in the Med and returned to the UK after Brexshit, you could easily end up having to pay the VAT again when you re-import the boat.

At least when buying from a non-UK, EU retailer they won't charge you local VAT so you won't pay 20% more, and duty is likely to be 0%, even if you pay it it is between 2.5 and 8% so nowhere near 20%...

Just do your homework before clicking the 'Buy Now" button...

Still mourning the loss of my 'Jedi Poster" status :)

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.

Just realised that this is Brexit in microcosm - thousands of people are making decisions like this every day.

hello again all!!!

i m 1 week post x32 delivery and i have to say that i m very delighted!!!!

i played with it for a couple of days and it does what i wanted and then some :)

for example
as for now it s setup with inputs 1-16 are analog ins
and 17-32 are computer returns like softs synths direct outs!!!

so ( ok , i know it s maybe not revolutionary) it s exactly how i hoped it to be...
ok not really (not at all... :D:D:D ) an analog way of working , but close enough !!!

and a MEGA flexible routing system to boot.

so i can play the hardware synths via MIDI, record the audio in the pc,
and finally , if i want, have all 32 tracks (16 analog recorded ones and 16 soft synths, or 32 audio tracks, or any combination of audio and soft synths ) played thru usb and mix it via the desk!!!

i very much like the flexibility of the scribble strip system , the screens are sharp and readable

one drawback though, even if you can choose the scribble strip colour, it changes with the angle of view!
Not so much of a bother since you still can read it!

all in all
I M VERY HAPPY!!!

 Excellent, thanks for posting back. I've had my X32 Compact for quite a few years now and I'm still learning but it's done a bit of everything from full on live shows to being the centre of my little project studio.
