Hello,
I use PreSonus Studio One with Mac OS Catalina. There is no way to change the font size on a Mac unless I change the resolution for the display which I don't want to do as that cocks up other programs.
Is anyone aware of a DAW that enables the users to control the font natively?

I'm struggling to find this, I also want larger fonts across the board as I use a large monitor at a distance of about 5' so it is behind my speakers. I'm using Mac OSX El Capitan and, for now, Reaper 5.95. so if either of you find anything please post back (as will I if I do).

Ok, I´ve found it: Preferences>General>Advanced UI/System tweaks (The last one, at the bottom). Click on that one and then tick the second line ("Scale UI elements...") and choose your value. Small increments work better, say 1.3 or 1.5, which is already a lot. You might have to restart Reaper for the changes to take effect.
Let me know how it goes, according to the Cockos forums it works flawlessly for some people, while others seem to have trouble with some windows or controls.

That works to increase the size of some elements but other stay the same. Screen shot is screenshots of Reaper scaled up 1.5 times and default scaling :-

I see. It depends on the theme, which of course you can further tweak and I think it´s easier on v.6,x (I´m on 5.96 on this computer, older on the main music PC).
For instance, with the "Default 4.0" theme, transport controls also get scaled up, which doesn´t seem to happen on your side...
To me it´s not worth the headache, but some people really take it seriously... also, my screen is closer to me than yours...

That is the latest version of the standard skin on my Big Sur MBP, not even got a licence for it (beyond V5.99) yet. I'm not fussed about the transport bar but the text size of the track name, number, input and other such legends. They are really difficult to read and don't change when you scale up the GUI. I'll try a different skin but prefer to stick with the default one 'cos of a couple of people I help with Reaper use it.

I´ve just found out how you can tweak a theme´s font and color for a given area. I saw this:
"This file is a text file which you can edit by hand, or for many edits it is easier to do on the fly, by using the action "Theme Development: Show theme tweak/configuration window" in REAPER", over at https://www.cockos.com/reaper/sdk/walter/images.php and indeed it seems you open that window, type "track" in the filter field and one of the choices is "Track title font". Double click on that and there you go!.
There´s hundreds of things over there to tweak, be it fonts, colors, you name it. I´d save all the changes as a different theme, just in case.
