Logic Pro- Bounces

Post by phil fridge »

I've recently entered the world of bouncing on logic , and have bounced several tracks. However, i'm not happy with some and i want to delete them , i've tried various ways of doing this but but no joy. If necessary i'd clear the lot rather than just the offending tracks , but either way i need help ! Thanks

First, delete the regions from the track in your project tracks window. Then delete the track.

If it's not already open, open the browser pane by clicking the icon on the far top left.

Make sure the Project tab is selected

Under EDIT, choose Select Unused

Under FILES, choose Delete File(s)

You will get a warning that you are about to delete files from Hard Disk

Voila!

Thanks for the reply, but i dont think we're quite on the same page. There are 9 tracks in my bounce folder , 4 of them are vocal tracks and i've no idea how they even got there, the other 5 tracks are the stereo mixes which have come from 5 separate projects. I set no regions in these projects , but if i go into the individual project track window i wouldn't want to go deleting individual tracks anyway! and deleting regions does not appear as an option anyway . As i said if necessary deleting everything in the bounce folder would be fine as the projects have all been left at the final mix point and can easily be re- bounced.

To the OP, I'm also confused as to exactly what you are referring to - could you share a screen shot of your view of the problematic files / audio, it might help get the answer you are looking for. I would have gone with the plan from the first reply.

Edit:

Just had a thought that this may the difference between bouncing in place and bouncing to a folder?

Hi....not that tech savvy, and i don't know how to provide you with a screen shot.
If i go into Logic ,and open files there is a bounces folder/file , if i select this there are nine files which i can if i select, play back. As explained there's stuff i don't want but if necessary i'd get rid of the lot. I've tried dragging to trash but though they drag they don't disappear.
NB I use my apple pc for logic , nothing else , so i've no access to logic from this pc

Okay think I've got it...

If the bounces aren't being used in a project...

Use the finder app to open the folder and then you should be able to just delete them.

Should sort it - I can't delete anything from the Bounces folder from within logic but can delete at will from the folder with Finder.

Hope this helps
