Twelve New Moons
Okay, I'm going to do a sort of Drewish thing, new songs in a Youtube launch party on Sunday, about 3 in the afternoon where you lot are, I think. I'd have given you more warning, but I didn't know until now. It's a celebration of a year of tuneage from me, a twelvemonth tour de force capped by a performance studded with good songs well-played and no end of cunning improvs. First time ever.
I bow down before your superior biscuitular capacity.
Re: Twelve New Moons
Make sure you post reminders, my old brain will forget, should be chilled by Sunday afternoon, I’ll listen in the garden, weather permitting, I can have my own little festival.

Re: Twelve New Moons
Vexingly I have one thing in my diary on Sunday, which is at 3pm. I will of course listen on catch up...
The title alone has suckered me in.

If I'm not mistaken, I just set it to premiere at the appointed hour and enable comments. Then I post comments to myself. Afterward, it sits there like an ordinary Youtube track.

Yep, that's how it works. But you still ought to share a link here anyway as you haven't yet...

Enjoyed it a bit later….
Re: Twelve New Moons
Nice one awjoe, well done for taking the bold leap into live streaming.
(Been out most of the day, but now chilling to Chop Wood with a drop of Glenlivet.)

Gotcher popcorn ready?
Bookmarked for later consumption
Sorry to miss it in real time, although had a productive afternoon in the studio myself today with Mitt on the end of a mic, so all ends well

Yes, I think you're right. You don't have to create a channel, you just have to sign in.

Re: Twelve New Moons
That's okay - I mostly wanted to see how premiering something on Youtube worked. I think I'm more or less on it now.
But it *has* been a year of these little concerts, which has amazed me. Take away my job and make me anxious, and the outcome is a songwriting binge that's lasted a year. Now I'm sort of back at work, and the songwriting's slowing way down. Soon you'll be shut of me.

Re: Twelve New Moons
Finally got around to listening today and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. That Godin sounds really alive and I prefer your more advanced chordal changes compared with the uke.
You also sound far more relaxed than ever before.
Bravo!

Re: Twelve New Moons
I'd had more to drink, is all.
I love that Godin - it's the best guitar I've ever played. I've been playing it a lot, and so I've been waiting for the hands to come up with something they haven't done on guitar before - that's what usually happens when I play a lot. And that's what's happened. The next video will have the tunes that came out of that discovery.

I'm very jealous of that Godin. Sounded lovely in the last broadcast.
