Re: Worth watching if you like Queen.
Thanks for that.
I haven't watched it all yet but it looks fascinating so far. I’m not what you’d call a Queen fan but I do admire their stuff, I also like Mr Beato’s analysis (easy to follow despite my lack of theory). The only downside is that it makes me feel inadequate. Never mind, back to practicing that C major 'cowboy' chord (I'll get there one day).

An enjoyable analysis, he does a very good job of deconstructing songs but doesn’t make it feel like there was no magic and serendipity going on too.
Brian May’s insights were nice to have, it sounds like the ‘Deacy box’ will be available as a plugin soon.

Thanks, this needs careful watching, later.
I believe in using as few notes as possible, in the longest possible time, the exact opposite of this track, which is maximum notes in shortest time.
But I love it, I’d say it’s one of my favourite pop songs, a work of pure genius, no matter what background, you come from, you have to admire it, and enjoy it, it’s impossible not to.

I liked this one of his videos:

I'm sure many have sat for hours trying to get the notes from a recording.

Re: Worth watching if you like Queen.
And the full Rick/Brian interview session has just appeared (almost an hour long).

Reliably fallible.
Re: Worth watching if you like Queen.
I saw Bohemian Rhapsody in the cinema. Someone must been cutting lots of onions in the cinema lol.
Just tonight rewatched side by side Live Aid actual and movie.

Actor Joe Mazzello that played Deacy, wow.
In Rick's interview Brian saying Freddie's playing was sensitive and BALLSY yeah I dig that.

Joe Pass was the first jazzer I 'got' and I still love his playing. More recently I've got into Gypsy Jazz and this guy is, maybe, my favourite modern Gypsy Jazz player https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99R7VW9QqyY. Joe was, and still is, a little beyond my understanding but Gypsy Jazz is more accessible to an old blues guy like me

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.
