357/LR44 battery question
357/LR44 battery question
Can somebody tell me how the silver oxide 357 size button cell batteries compare in terms of run time to LR44 button cell alkalines? (For example, in something like a Pelican L1) Is there a difference in run-time between silver oxide and alkaline? I noticed a notable boost in brightness when I replaced out the LR44's in my L1 for the 357's...but at $2.00 a pop for the 357's against 50 cents for the LR44's, an increase in run-time would be good, too! Any help would be greatly appreciated...
Re: 357/LR44 battery question
Silver oxide batteries typically have larger energy capacity than same size alkaline batteries, and typically outlast them considerably.
Silver oxide batteries also maintain their output voltage, rather than gradually declining as aljalines do.
These performance advantages is why they are more expensive.
