Paint on my SH-09 cracking and bubbling

Post by Michael Dow »

Hi there, i posted this yesterday in another forum but the post seems to have disappeared.

The paint on my Sh-09 is bubbling/getting odd lines where it looks like the paint is lifting up slightly. This is emanating from some scratches that are rusty.

How can i protect the surface to make sure it doesn't get any worse? Worried about my baby! Also my Juno-60 has some scratches too so its only a matter of time.

I'm in Sydney australia, where it rains almost every day (and has done for around 9 months now) as we are in La Nina. I moved here in november and have noticed this rust get significantly worse in just that time due to how damp the air is constantly.

How damp? Well put it this way, some days there is literally water on the surface of my desk under the keyboard. I empty those moisture catchers on a monthly basis. I'm in a flat i own, and to be honest a de humidifier isn't going to work as it would need to be on all day and night with the windows closed. And that's just not happening!

It's still where you posted in the link above, and you have had replies too. So I'll lock this duplicate to avoid confusion.
