Old Libraries in Kontakt7

Post by Gone To Lunch »

I am trying to include some older libraries, eg Angelic Zither, in the new Kontakt7 browser.

Their site advises use the batch process if it fails, but when I do this, I just get an error msg 'Error encontered in batch process: Angelic.Zither. could not be saved!'

There is now no option to contact support, just infinite loops of the same advice that doesn't work?

Yep, sounds about right, typical NI support, or lack of it.
I’ll never buy anything by NI again, for this very reason.
OK, I had similar problems, I wanted to load some old Reaktor patches, but no luck, errors on download, mind you, I am using an M1 Mac, what are you using? and some of the NI stuff isn’t supported for that chip yet, they say "sometime" in 2023 like you it’s the older stuff I want, and that’s what’s affected.

I too am using an M1.

I can still get to the libraries by via Kontakt 6, but that does rather defeat all the marketing bluster about the brave new browser interface!

Really? I contacted support two weeks ago. As I recall it was via the website (login to your NI account). They were respsonsive and helpful, solved the issue. And I've not even upgraded to v7. By infinite loops do you mean the same error message is generated? I would take a screen video of the whole process, this always makes it easy for the support rep to recognise the issue.

I couldn't find the 'contact support' link?

I tried again and found the support button, so opened new ticket. By infinite loop I mean going round and round the 'knowledge' base;
