Eventide Misha
Eventide Misha
Great to see Misha reviewed in the latest issue. Just a quick shout-out for Leon Gruenbaum who pioneered the 'relative intervals' concept with the Samchillian Tip Tip Tip Cheeepeeeee and worked with Eventide to reinvent it in Eurorack form. (He seems pleased with the write-up.)
Re: Eventide Misha
Fascinating the Samchillian.

3min52sec this is just what would make me sound as if I was a virtuoso lol.

"Misha offers 100 unique scales; far more than you could name, from Blues to Raga and beyond."
The possibilities.
I've not got into Eurorack. If there's one module that would entice me it would be the Misha.
I also like that buttons lights up different colours so I won't get confused.

This is my favourite Samchillian video, which I've posted up previously.

I'm impressed with Leon because he's become so skilled at his own unique instrument. No-one else can play it at anything like his level.
As a fan, I bought a copy of the inexpensive software from him and got hold of one of the rather more expensive Kinesis Advantage ergonomic keyboards he uses. But I still need to track down a graffitti artist to do a paint job on it...and put in a few months of practice.

To me Leon is a virtuoso at his own unique instrument.

That’s a great example of expressive playing, and just goes to show, you don’t need a reed and a lump of brass to "really play"
However, that drummer, Jesus Christ, if I were there I’d grab the sticks out of his hands and tell him to shut the f**k up. Talk about too busy, he’s steam rollering all over everyone else with no respect whatsoever.
