Reaktor Steam Pipe

Post by Arpangel »

I haven’t used this lately, but I’ve had it since it came out, just had a revisit.
I made some presets for it ages ago, and it’s really good at making pipe organ sounds, I’ve got loads of those, it’s annoying that they haven’t made Reaktor compatible with Mac M1, they keep promising but nothing yet, so I can only use it on my desk top, not on my laptop.
Check it out, it’s a very interesting instrument.

Yes, I've used this a few times, it makes some quite nice noises.

I've been using that a little for many, many years.

Physical modeling synthesis is not really flavour of the month, is it? I also use Chromaphone by AAS a lot, another favourite. My Yamaha VL module was the first thing I owned like that, and I used to borrow a Korg Prophecy, which was fun to play.

Shows just how long this good stuff has been around.

Yep, I too have explored Reaktor Steampipe and liked what it could do, but have spent of lot more time exploring the possibilities with the AAS pysical modeling products, which I find really expressive.

I've even had some commercial sound libraries published for their Chromaphone and Objeq Delay, both of which offer a lot of unique sound possibilities.

Both links offer some audio demos showing the possibilities, but hopefully not viewed as a plug ;)
