Motif ES7 -MIDI- Korg X50. Detuned a half step

Two MIDI keyboards, each detuned a half step. The slave does not hold the tuning thru MIDI.
My group detunes everything a half step.
I detuned all my 3 keyboards and everything ok, except when I MIDI the Yamaha ES to the Korg X-50, the korg being the slave, it loses the tuning only thru MIDI.
The Korg X-50 stand alone still retains the detune. Does anyone have a idea how to remedy this?

On the ES7 there are two tabs in Utility mode that do transposition.

One is labelled 'TG' the other is labelled 'KBD'.

My guess is that you've set your detune in the 'TG' tab. 'TG' is short for 'Tone Generator' and the detuning only applies to the internal sounds on the ES7.

If you select the 'KBD' tab (being short for 'Keyboard') and detune there, then this will not only apply to the internal voices but will also apply to external keyboards controlled over MIDI.

I just tested this on my ES7 and sure enough, if I detune in the TG tab then the detuning only applies to the internal sounds. Detuning in the KBD tab applies the detuning to MIDI-controlled external devices also.

Here's the setting you need to make. Note the 'KBD' tab is selected.

Sorry took so long for my feedback. The board came out of storage today.

Yes the KBD tab within utility mode solved the issue.
I detuned the Korg -1 first then detuned the Motif -1 within the KBD tab.
Voilà! Presto!
Easy peasy.
