Hoping there are some Cubase 8.5 Pro score experts here.
Below is a screenshot of a piece I am sequencing, and have become fairly competent with my musical "knowledge" normaly, but for this task, the piece has got me stuck.
Problem is the inputting of and making the notes play/work with the number"2" above the pairs of 32 notes, IE "play the two notes in the time to play three"
Help.

Capitalisation is the difference between helping your uncle jack off a horse & helping your Uncle Jack off a horse.

I've inserted the image for you. You're right – that host doesn't play nice with links...

Re: Cubase Scoring
Not a Cubase user, but I don't see two in the time of three. I'd read that as phrasing hints. So those last two notes in meas. 79 should not sound like the ending of the preceding notes, but instead should lead in to the start of meas. 80. From a sequencing point of view, I might try starting each of those "2" phrases slightly late, and/or ending the preceding note slightly early.

Re: Cubase Scoring
Bar 79 adds up to 16 16th notes without two notes in the time of three. The two is wrong here. I would think on using two notes in the time of three in a time signature like 6/8, which has triplets as the underlying rhythm.
It ain't what you don't know. It's what you know that ain't so.
Re: Cubase Scoring
Exactly! When I first read the post and went to look at the pic, I was expecting 6/8, and was surprised to see the half-measure beamed eighths that add up to 4/4. Additionally, it looks like beaming in general has been chosen to represent phrasing instead of rhythm, making it very hard to read.
