Just wondering if anyone has direct experience of these?
I know they have a following among the 'recording (legal or otherwise!) of concerts' fraternity - particularly in the States - but am wondering if anyone has used them, or heard of them being used, to make 'quality' recordings to CD-ish quality?
I know there's a whole range of 'em... I'm not thinking of the cheapest...
They are quite good, quality wise. The wearable ones can give a very lifelike 3D rendition on playback, especially for the original wearer. The challenge, though, is trying not to move the head while recording as this creates a disturbingly unstable binaural image for the listener.
I have seen a student literally fall over while listening because the recordist moved his head!
