Hi everyone,
I recently had to have my hard drive wiped and reinstalled. Does anyone know how to transfer music from an iPod nano back into iTunes on a PC? Not sure whether this belongs in the Mac or PC forum.
I've come across this website:https://www.imobie.com/support/transfer ... mEQAvD_BwE
But it keeps saying there's no viruses, making me unsure as to whether there are or not. Does anyone know if the app Anytrans on this website is safe? Or is there another way to transfer the songs?
Thanks a lot, Paul

Re: Transfer music from iPod back into iTunes
Hi again,
I just looked up iMobie Anytrans on Trustpilot:
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/anytrans.imobie.com
Most of the reviews say this is a scam, so I think I've answered my own question about is it safe. Any ideas on how else to transfer my files?
Cheers, Paul

I think most of those transfer utilities seem to be rather untrustworthy, whether for Apple or Android.
I thought you simply needed to sync the device with iTunes as described HERE.

Hi sonics,
Thanks for your reply, but the Apple help link you gave me shows you how to delete everything from your iPod and replace it with what's on iTunes on the computer.
This is the opposite of what I'm trying to do - I'd like to download everything from my iPod onto iTunes on the computer and replace what's already there.
Cheers, Paul

Sorry, I forgot that Apple's version of "sync" is one way only. That's not really sync then is it, Apple? It's just copying.
Is this guide any help?

Hi Sonics,
I clicked on the link 'this guide' as you suggested. I followed the instructions on the website. Everything is now backed up onto my computer, but all the files have funny names and don't appear to be in any particular order.
Anyway, it's still good to have some form of back up. Thank you for the link.
Cheers, Paul

I was going to do what you are trying to do, awhile back but I got side tracked.
I was going to search for iTunes alternatives, and a few came up, but that is as far as I got. I was hoping an alternative prog would move the files back to the mac.
Good luck.
