My new album 'Boulevard Saint-Michel' is available now on Bandcamp.

It's a small-scale Jazz album, based on a jazz trio with additional instruments on some tracks.

I hope you enjoy it!

I’m listening to it now, and liking it, nice chords, nice brushes, nice!
It’s got a sort of Vince Guaraldi feel to it, this is summer listening, definitely, sun, pool, drink.
Who’s playing on it?

It's all me! Using samples - I'm a keyboard player who used to play drums and percussion, though not for many years, and I've learned to play jazz bass lines on the keyboard when the bass player hasn't turned up for big band rehearsals! I have to say that playing bass lines in a big band musically is much easier than playing keys; I think the challenge playing upright bass is the physicality it demands.

WOW, that's your inner Keith Jarrett coming out and once I have heard a bit more I am sure the music has so much persuasive charm it'll even be able to wrench some money from the depths of my de profundis pockets and make a purchase

I've listened to a couple of tracks and found them very enjoyable.
I like Jazz generally, but only in relatively small doses so I'll listen to more over the next few days.

Damn, you’ve shattered my vision there, I was hoping it would be a bunch of "cats" wearing cool suits, in a Smokey basement Jazz club, and the bass player, nipping out to pawn his bass to buy heroine, you know?

Normally 'jazz' is a word to make me raise my eyebrows but I'm really enjoying this. A bit like a laid back Go Go Penguin. Added to my basket for payday.

Thanks for the kind words.

Drew, yes, it does have similarities with Go Go Penguin - sometimes they get a bit too industrial for me, which fits with the 'laid back'.

Very true - nice work Rich!

Gentle music, but with ever-stimulating content 8-)
