Someone recently posted a rather mean comment in the Electrosmith forum comparing their products to those of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation, observing that: "It is very easy to be blinded to the essential uselessness of them by the sense of achievement you get from getting them to work at all."
While I certainly wouldn't describe Monome products as useless, I can relate to that sense of achievement.
