Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a new interface. Read and watched lots of reviews, this three candidates are currently at my list (but open to everything else, of course)
1. Apollo Twin X
2. Audient ID44
3. Antelope Zen Q Synergy Core Thunderbolt
I really like the functionality and options of the Antelope (by design, too, although this is secondary). I read a few comments about low headphone output, although others stated that this is only for low impedance headphones. I’m using my DT990 Pro 250Ohm a lot for composing, tracking and mixing at night, so this is somehow important (or would require a additional headphone amp, so extra costs, routing and cabling)
My hardware setup: iMac 27“ Mid 2020, i7 3.8GHz 8core, 64 GB RAM, and lots of SSDs around. Running Ventura and latest LPX. Important: I use to keep my system always up-to-date, at latest some 4-6 months after release, for compatibly with other software and work team. So manufacturers with bad reputation concerning their update-frequency might be a bad idea…
Thanks a lot in advance, any recommendations welcome (of course also your personal ideas with other gear not listed)
Thanks in advance for your opinions,
Cheers and greets
Phil

Hi there. It would help if you explained exactly how you will be using it. Almost all AIs these days will do a very good job, so it comes down to features you need. So far, it looks like a top-notch headphone amp is at the top of the list.

"The Best" piece of gear is subjective.
