AKG D112 Mic Wiring question

Hi
Picked up a couple of D112 mics without the xlr , just 2 wires, red & White and no earth. Have checked a schematic that shows the 2 wires mentioned but no earth. Wondering if someone can confirm for me which cable is the positive to solder to pin 2 is it red or the white, also any info why there is no earth

Most likely the earth will be the metal case, is there an obvious tag to solder an earth wire to. Red will be pin 2 and white pin 3.

A moving coil capsule has only two connections. Red is the hot side (xlr pin 2), and white the cold (pin 3).

As MOF says, the screen connection on xlr pin 1 is linked directly to the metal body, probably by a holding screw....
