I’ve had an idea (which we may come on to) which involves having a single button, possibly velcro’d to a mic stand, which emits a “left click” signal via Bluetooth. I’m struggling to find anything already existing to fit the bill but #3 has suggested building something on an ESP32 chip shouldn’t be beyond the wit of man.
Is anyone aware of an off-the-shelf solution or know enough about the ESP32 to comment?
I have a Bluetooth page turner which I’ll be experimenting with but I like the other idea better.
Bluetooth “left click” remote mouse button.

The easiest way I can think of would be to pick up a wireless mouse and solder another momentary contact switch across the left mouse button. Or just mount the mouse itself there; it already comes with a switch...

A BT page turner should work but, if it's a phone or tablet you are controlling, a remote camera shutter button may also work depending on the app. But I have tried one for starting and stopping loops in a looper app on my iPhone with no success.

People often mistake me for a grown-up because of my age.

It’s all going to depend in the app that comes with the button.
Here’s a simple Bluetooth button (about £25) which I’m sure could do the trick: https://flic.io/flic2
But it hinges on the software.

Reliably fallible.

I did notice these, very cute. I couldn't make out if they transmitted an actual "left click" signal, though, which is required. Since first explorations I've figured out that some are programmable which is nice, and some are a lot cheaper than the branded "Internet of Things" options.
Thanks for the input.

Suggestion:
As part of my explorations I used a mini Bluetooth trackpad to position the cursor over the relevant soft button and the left click to trigger. This worked really well but is cumbersome. Positioning the cursor may be your missing link.
