I was surprised, I got there by a very unexpected roundabout route, 2 System 100 oscillators, modulated by a couple of ARP2500 oscillators, put through an ARP filter/amp, I turn modulated with a Doepfer noise/random, the modulation sources I put through attenuators so that I could vary the sound and tone of the thunder, works great.
