Huge blow for the independent music scene. It feels like every time a good platform for music establishes itself venture capitalists move in and gut it.

Reports 50% of staff have been made redundant. Wonder what the business model will look like a year from now.
Layoffs are horrible. Hope those staff can form their own tech companies.
Giving up to 82% to musicians noble as it is, is not sustainable profitably for a tech company to keep employees.
Steve Vai for his record label does 50/50. Something along these lines might be in the pipeline for Bandcamp.
