New Mac Studio

Post by mountain lion »

hi

finaly buying a new mac studio m2 max. do you think the standard internal drive will be enough? its 512 gb. i will put logic samples(is that easy to do?) and native instruments samples on an external drive but os is getting bigger.

i guess i have to buy extra insurance. do you like apple care plus or do you solve that another way?

thank you

On my studio with same internal SSD, I am fine with it. Logic library and all my samples are on fast external SSDs and currently my internal drive has 387GB still free.

That depends on what you want to put on it.

Yes, Logic puts them there by default - it's about 70GB of content.

Internal. But you can relocate most of it to an external drive if you wish.

Hi Mountain Lion,

just to make you aware in case you're not already - the M3 Max is a lot faster than the M2 Max so if you really need the speed it might be worth waiting 6-9 months for an M3 Max Studio.
