Hi all! I have a single track of audio which is a recording of two people speaking (not simultaneously). I need to separate each person's voice into separate tracks. It's a time consuming manual process of listening and cutting up all the sections in my DAW (logic pro in my case).
Is there a plugin that identifies and distinguishes between different speakers and selects the parts automatically? This would save me loads of time. It could analyze the audio region, select the parts that correspond to one speaker, i then drag them to another track, and voila. my task is done.
The technology certainly exists. There are tools like otter.ai, rewatch.com, etc. that do AI transcriptions of meetings and they are getting pretty good at labeling speakers in the transcriptions. I'm just not finding software products or DAW plugins that do that specific task only (identifying one speaker and selecting all their sections in an audio file).
Anyone know of any?
Voice recognition plugin?
Re: Voice recognition plugin?
MS word will transcribe the audio, labelling each speaker and the time each clip starts. If there was a way to read that file and create an edit list for your DAW, and if your DAW could process such a list……. But that’s a lot of ifs
