A new prototype tease, this time it's the JT-16 the 16 voice Jupiter 8 clone.
To me it looks a bit weird in it's squashed form factor and the fact that the controls end only millimetres from the edge of the case. Has a rack unit vibe to it, kinda looks like part of the case is missing. Certainly not much wasted metal there.

The rear shot is quite small but shows that it seems to have all the connectors of the original (well minus DCB naturally) including the XLR outs.

By then the DX7 and D50 reissues will be out and no one will be interested in the analogue synth reissues any more…

I would have been interested in the DS80, but its been years since they showed the prototypes, and so far I've been able to emulate it pleasingly well in the Hydrasynth Deluxe, along with most other classic synths.

Similar. Hydrasynth and Summit have me covered for that type of use. Hydrasynth Deluxe is the CS80 for a whole new generation.

and another prototype, the Ub-X,

Oh, and for those with lots of synths they've (well a company under the same umbrella) released a new touchscreen mixer, good espeially if you've got a lot of stereo synths or ones with multiple outputs and want something relatively compact and don't need hardware faders, you'd need a few stageboxes to go with it though and the price might be a bit more than the likes of QSC's touchmix! The HD96-AIR, there's also a companion USB convertor and fader bank.

If that's got the same voice topology as the OB-X, it shouldn't have a 4-pole option on the filter. I suspect some hand waving.

My interest was the BBG & the BCR32, its been years and not a peep.
It would be nice to have a production road map.

here is a horror story for the BCR32

I'm not gonna lie, the Bupiter has me interested (poor design/aesthetic details notwithstanding), although I'll wait until we actually can get some hands on real-world opinions and sound examples of the production units, of course...

Indeed. We've been hashing out some of the design details that Behringer's designers missed over on GS, and we think the result looks *way* nicer...

Bear in mind Behringer are probably trying to steer clear of more hassle from Roland over the look of the thing. I don't disagree though. B design tends towards a bit of a Duplo vibe most of the time.

Yes indeed, but this is the same design they've already done, just with logos aligned and made more tasteful, and white space added at the back so the labelling doesn't just go right to the back edge and fall off. I don't care so much about the black button colours etc, but basically, this is the same design, just with someone who knows how to finesse the details and align the graphic elements etc...

No photos as I'm posting this from my phone but two things, CR-78 prototype is ready, it'll be in a TD-3/RD-6 style case, have all the original patterns (who does not want a nice waltz pattern) and it uses the original inductor/coil based filters.

Secondly there's a prototype for another mini synth, this time based on the Casio CZ series and follows all the others by having an analogue filter, no word on polyphony yet.

I'm working on a faithful replica of the RCA MK11 Synthesiser as installed at Columbia Princeton Electronic Music Centre in 1957.
Given who I am, with my resources, I stand a good chance of beating Behringer to the shelves with any of their teasers.
In all honesty, it's become embarrassingly comical.

OK, so, when is this 636 Reverb coming out, any advance on a possible year?

and something new now that is supposedly in production and shipping from the factory, the Spring Reverberation 636, a Grampian 636 spring reverb clone in one of their eurorack cases. Looks to be $199 and seems to be getting a lot of interest elsewhere. Naturally it has a real dual spring tank and so you can wack it!

I was interested to view that, but while I will usually tolerate one short (5 secs) money-raising advert I always bail out if a second ad starts. Not playing that game.

So I'm none the wiser about the 636...

Just watch YouTube on something with an ad blocker. No annoying adverts.

That video is 10:50 long, so gets adverts added automatically.

In the comments they were saying a month or two, basically the shipping time from China.
