So the new versions appear to use a newer version of the RPi Compute Module that the first versions used, so they bumped up the voices. Frustratingly the Opsix is still monotimbral, so you get 64 voices of the same thing. Racking them is also a bit weird because the outputs are still on the rear, which becomes the top, and they can't be rotated.

yep, like so many digital synths these days, its not multi timbral. Seems a big omission.
The opsix can have its operators limited in keyrange, so you can achieve different sounds across the keyboard that way but its not anything like the old blofeld which can do patch/channel.

Looked at this, not enough dedicated knobs for operator functions, something like Mega FM is a better bet for this, although unlike the OP6 it cant import DX7 sounds, you can’t have it all.

The super power of the OPSIX is that the operators can be anything, they also do FM. The Algorithm is user defineable.

The sockets appear to be recessed
