Howdy folks, bit of a weird one here, but it's all part of the process!
I've got a nice room available soon for my studio, but the owner does not want any nails or screws sunk into her nice pristine walls or ceiling. I can see why, because structually the room is quite delicate, although because of its remote location it is ideal for my studio.
Also, the property might well be sold in a few years time, which is another reason to keep everything pristine.
So, is there a way that I can hang my sound buffers from the walls and ceiling non-destructively. They are retangular, about 5cm thick, about 2x1 metres, covered with sound insulating material and filled with rockwool or something, pretty common things. In my present room they hang from hooks and screws sunk into the walls and ceiling.
I've seen these suction things on Amazon for hanging towels, it says they can handle up to 3kg, not sure if my retangular sound buffers weigh more, but even so I'm not confident that these things will suffice.
Any suggestions? I know there's an answer somewhere!

If you really can't put any fixings into the wall then I'd support the wall panels from below, on simple wooden stands sitting on the floor. I certainly wouldn't support anything like you describe from the ceiling without a proper fixing though.
It's pretty easy to fill the holes left by a fixing so maybe it would be a good idea to negotiate with the owner with a view to using proper fixings in the ceiling and agreeing that you'll have them removed and any holes filled and the decor made good when the time comes to remove them.

Argos do cheap clothes rails on castors that go pretty high. I've used them in past to hang duvets to stop reflections. They hold a lot of clothes so definitely okay for 3+Kg.

Why do bad things mostly seem to happen to people who light up a room when they enter it?
Re: Non-destructive wall hanging for sound buffers
Holes can be filled and paint reapplied in two years time! Negotiate...
But failing that, build a wooden or metal frame inside the room standing on the floor and hang your acoustic panels from that. Harder for ceiling panels, but still do-able given the will...

Beware of over-engineering if you go down that route though
