ZealSound K66 Plus resets itself when rebooting PC

Good evening folks, thanks for helping me out.

I have switched my old microphone with a ZealSound K66 Plus. I've tried reaching the company but got no replies.

Basically, when plugged in, I've reduced the knob gain of the microphone close to zero in order to avoid higher gain. I've even configured Equalizer APO and the Reaper plugins to reduce Noise and EQ it a bit.

Despite all of this, when I turn my PC off, once rebooted my microphone changes it's configuration by it's own.

What am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing. Don’t expect wonders from a very cheap USB mic.

I couldn’t find a manual for it on the ZealSound website so you are going to have to help tell us about it. Does the ‘mic -/+’ knob continuously rotate, or does it have end positions it won’t go beyond. If it keeps rotating, then the gain is digitally controlled and I would expect it to return to a default position if powered off.

You either spend more for a quality mic that does what you expect it to do, or you live with what you’ve got.

Hey, thanks for helping out. The knob keeps going, it doesn't have a start or an end, like min or max.

Sounds like it's restarting at a default level each time. Can you access any settings either via its own software or the Windows sound menu?

The problem is that the volume itself from windows doesn't change.
It's the GAIN that resets to the maximum.

It doesn't have a software.
