Hoping I didnt make a $400 mistake.
Thoughts on the QSC CX254
Just purchased a NOS QSC CX254 power amp for use in a church for $399. Retailed for about $1200 new. It was never used and was purchased as a spare for an identical amp that never failed. It just over 6 years old according to the serial number.
(I know the speakers arent opitmal but are what i have to work with, covered in another thread)
Plan to power 2 sets of JBL Control 25 wired for 4ohm a set on their own channel, a set of Bose 251wire for 4 ohm on a channel, and 4 Hotspot stage monitors wired for 4 ohm
The Bose 251s and stage monitors are creently powered by a dying Soundtech m860 thats 200 watts a channel at 4ohm. The qsc is 250x4 at 4 ohm
QSC cx254 4 channel power amp, opinions?

Sounds appropriate and a very fair price.

The QSC CX amps are top notch! I just had one apart today for cleaning that's had a long hard life in high humidity and dirt, it was almost completely full of dust balls and filth. Yet it still worked perfectly. The pots even had removable covers on their backs to keep the dust out and hadn't got scratchy. The power ratings are conservative and the sound quality is excellent.

"The Best" piece of gear is subjective.
