iLoud micro monitors from IK Multimedia

Post by The Paul meister »

Hi everyone,

I am pleased with these monitors, they are good value for money. They have a clear sound, and the bass is good, tight and clean. The bass is very good for monitors of this size. I would recommend reading the review here: https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/ik ... loud-micro

These speakers are good for a small studio set up like mine that hasn't been acoustically treated. Bear in mind that the connecting cable between the speakers is 1.9m long. It's a 4 pin cable - I'm not sure if you can get a longer one.

Cheers, Paul

Appreciated drawing attention to these speakers Paul.
That's some write up by the other Paul lol.

I don't have any monitors nor a treated room. These could be just the ticket.
I shall try to find them in some store somewhere to have a listen.

When you register these speakers on the IK Product Manager, you are entitled to 2 free pieces of software. Click on one of the icons in the top right corner.

I bought these 2 years ago, but only just noticed the free software recently.

My options were mostly SE versions of software. I'm not sure if you buy them now, whether the software has been updated.

I have the iloud MTM and a little bit of acoustic treatment in a far from optimal spot in the corner of our shared home office/workroom, and I’m pretty pleased with the mixes I’m getting now*

*whether they are good mixes is, of course a different question.
