Just take a picture of some sand and draw some straight lines across it.
Yes, that would reflect the budget for the whole album.
.
Yes, for mine too. It's good advice though. Your own images (photos or otherwise derived if you're lucky enough to be visually gifted as well (like my Sister the crabby old bag) - are by far the safest. Unless you don't give a sh1t, like me. Ho Ho. What's that letter that just fell on the mat?

I've just taken a couple of pictures myself, all done.
I've just been trying to work out exactly how much this album has cost me, it's virtually nothing, just the electricity.
My time? but I wouldn’t be doing anything else.
The Gear? I already have it.
I'm very low maintenance.
I could do with an engineer though, you all know I hate it.
And a keyboard tech.
And someone to give me deadlines.
I think it's pretty established that titles aren't copyrightable, it's just the body of the lyrics that are protected, and even then most jurisdictions recognise clichés and common turns of phrase to be unprotectable.

This album is killing me, yet more set-backs. The investment involved here isn’t in any way in proportion to the returns.
I have to seriously ask if that has ever really been the case?
If so then you're definitely doing better than most.

The question should be, do I take my music seriously? That is a very difficult question to answer.
One last question, if I take a couple of minutes from a well known artists song, reverse it, slow it down, and process it beyond recognition, am I still in breach of copyright?
I think I am, but if I'm not, how far does obliterating the original work have to go before I'm not?

{obligatory}
One is amazed, not that it can be done,
but that anyone would want to do it.

Don’t worry, I’m taking my medication in a minute.

This is one of those things that can't be answered in general. Different courts have had different takes on it. Some have ruled that if it's unidentifiable then it is sufficiently transformative, others have said any sample, no matter how small or mangled, requires a licence.
