Mac Book Pro

Post by OneWorld »

I am selling a Fireface 800 and an interested party has asked if it would work on a Mac Book Pro running High Sierra. Could anyone advice please?

He doesn't give the age of the Mac Book Pro, but, does a Mac Book Pro have a firewire socket?

Thanks, the enquiry has a newer model and says he has used a Fireface 800 by way of a Firewire to Thunderbolt convertor. His main concern is whether RME is still providing drivers for High Sieera. My experience with RME is that their support for legcy products is exemplary, that being said I advised the interested party it might be better if he can go to RME site and confirm what he needs to know

Yes it is supported. Driver Version 3.391 supports OS 10.9 to 10.15 and High Sierra is 10.13. Easy info to find on the RME website if the buyer needs to check it out further.
