Hi All,
I've got an IK Multimedia bundle, currently installed on my Mac. I'd like to get it on the PC but I've only got 6GB on the internal drive, so I need to install it all on my 2TB external SSD. I made a start by downloading SampleTank 4 SE to F:\IK Product Manager.
In Cubase Elements 13, in the VST Plug-in Manager under the Studio menu, SampleTank 4 is on the list of VST instruments - because I made a new 'VST 2 Plug-in Path Settings' to F:\VstPlugins. This is where I installed the .dll file.
However, SampleTank is not available in the normal synth menu where you select it to use it.
Can anyone help with this? Is there something else I need to do in the IK Multimedia Product Manger? I tried to route all downloads to the external drive under Preferences.
Any help much appreciated,
Paul

Re: Downloading IK Multimedia programs to external SSD
On my Mac, I had everything installed on my 500GB internal drive. But I was running out of space so I transferred it all to a 2TB drive and redirected Sampletank etc to the files on the external drive and this all worked out fine. I was advised by IK tech support on this.
However, with 6GB on the PC, this isn't an option to download it all there first and then transfer it because IIRC the install on the Mac was 170GB.

Re: Downloading IK Multimedia programs to external SSD
I just loaded SampleTank in Cakewalk and it appears fine. I just put in a new VST Scan Path to F:\vstplugins. This can be found in Preferences - VST Settings.
So it must be a problem with Cubase. I'll get onto Steinberg tech support about that.

I figured this out.
I just changed an option in the plug in manager.
I replied to Steinberg's auto reply saying this, and to close the ticket.
All good

Latest version of IK Product Manager
If you're downloading IK Multimedia files, be sure to download the latest version of the Product Manager. I was using the version before the latest, and it kept hanging in between installing files. I kept having to force quit it and reload.
With the new version, this doesn't happen.
