Recording changes to hardware synths in Cubase

Post by The Paul meister »

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to record changes to hardware synths via midi in Cubase Elements 13?

Or do you need the full version of Cubase?

Thanks, Paul

Most synths, if they *can* transmit control changes, will output MIDI CCs or Sys-Ex messages. I can't imagine Steinberg would filter out the CCs for MIDI tracks in different versions of Cubase. Sys-Ex may be different story, but I doubt it.

I couldn't anything in the forums to give a definitive answer either way, and the Cubase version comparison chart shows nothing of any value to this question.

...just to save you some time looking.

I'd post a question to the Cubase forum, likely get a good quick answer (probably from Martin!).
